RSV

RSV, Respiratory syncytial (sin-SISH-uhl) virus, is a respiratory virus that infects the lungs and breathing passages. For most healthy people, RSV is like the common cold, where we can recover from it rather easily. Fortunately, there is a vaccine for RSV that the triplets receive. A few days before the babies were going to leave the hospital, we had to fill out a questionnaire (the same one three times), regarding the risk factors they might have (dogs, older sibling in daycare, wood burning stove). We had to fill this out to hopefully have our insurance cover the shots. And luckily, we were approved! Otherwise the RSV shot is $1800 per child per month. Yes! I said per month! They got their first one in October and will continue to sometime this spring (can't remember the last month that they get it).

Here are the babies after they were weighed and waiting for their shots.
(Left to Right: Cayley, Aleah and Bryce)

Aleah kept hitting Bryce in the face, so I think he decided that was enough and he held her hand. Don't worry, he got her back when he got his shot. He jumped and smacked her in the face. She started crying, not sure if it was because she got hit or sympathy for Bryce. He HATES shots!
